Get The Right Start In Your Network Marketing Business ? Why You ...

I recently sat in on a great weekly MLSP webinar on using your email as an effective recruiting tool.

MLM heavy hitter Ray Higdon shared what worked for him and how he communicates and shares value with his prospects.? I?m glad that will be in the MLSP training library to review over and over.

One tangent of Ray?s training touched on knowing and accepting where you are in your network marketing business.

It is inspiring stuff to hear how Ray manages nearly 40,000 new visitors to his blog and how he segments his lists to make sure everyone is getting appropriate communication?

But what if you don?t have a blog?or a list of 40,000? or even 40?

What if you aren?t even sure what a ?list? is?and you?re too embarrassed to ask?

Two quick lessons here:

1 ? There is no such thing as a stupid question.

Most marketers are anxious to help others.? They are terminally afflicted with an abundance mentality and look for opportunities to teach and mentor.

If you don?t know something?ask?

2 ? Don?t ever get caught up in ?odds-are? thinking?

That?s where you assume the ?odds-are? that someone knows as much or more than you do?it?s one of the deadly sins of sales.

Gauge the folks you are talking to and be sure where they are on the learning curve?

And this brings me to the point of my soap box sermon today?

Attraction marketing is? a romantic idea:? You position yourself as an Alpha, become the hunted-not the hunter, and sit around pulling the pick of the litter from? your daily boat load of leads?

But is it realistic for you?? Are you at that spot on the learning curve?

It is really important that you get the right start in your network marketing business.

Using techniques and the community of support from a system like My Lead System Pro, it is realistic to build into that kind of lead generation?but it doesn?t? happen overnight.

And waiting around for it to happen is a great way to go broke?

Your business needs cashflow?now.

As we said in the sales biz: You gotta kill it and drag it home?

Reaching out is called Prospecting.? It?s the time-honored way the network marketing business has been done for decades and is still the one and only method used by some of the biggest money earners in the industry?

And it?s where you need to start if you are just getting started in your network marketing business?especially if you are budget challenged?

The starting point is your circle of influence.? Most MLM uplines teach you how to approach your circle of influence in a way that will make you a pariah at family gatherings and a life time member of the NFL (No-Friends-Left).

The other pool for people to talk to beyond your circle of influence, is your social media contacts?Facebook, LinkedIn and anywhere else you have decided to? hang out.

Prospecting Is A Process, Not An Event

If you have set a goal to talk to ten people a day about your business don?t plan on talking to ten people you meet today about your business today.? Sounds funny, but I?m serious?

Think of it instead as a pipe you are filling?

You put contacts and acquaintances in one end and then work with them until they come out the other end ready for you to help them out.

You do that by using techniques I?ve taught like F.O.R.M.ing and L.A.E.R. to find out what they crave and then share how you can help.

The Bottom Line On Prospecting?

If you are just getting started, and especially if you are starting on a budget, prospecting is Job #1 and should be at the top your daily list of activity.
