As promised, Konami and Kojima Productions have released the Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots patch in Japan today. It?s a pretty big download ? 498 megabytes to be exact.
Along with Trophy support, users can opt to fully install the game on a hard drive. This eliminates the need to install data between acts. In order to make it through the install process, the hard drive will need about 9 gigabytes of free space.
Some reports say that the full install takes roughly 16 minutes to finish. Also worth mentioning is that Metal Gear Solid 4 appears to differentiate between pre-patch and post-patch save data.
